I wonder if you'll get banned again for going AFK too long during the Dragon Festival?

I'm not going to give up on you, not yet. I still believe that you'll come to the game next weekend and you'll have fun and you'll completely forget the negative thoughts.
Or maybe not.
But you can be sure, no matter what, the rest of us will be having a blast! Whack a Wyrm, anyone?

Who at ANet thought it was a good idea to come up with change-of-pace activities that wouldn't be permanent additions to the game? Are you all that concerned about people not playing the game if you actually left stuff like this in the game permanently? That's pretty much the overlying issue that I am interested in hearing more about. Sometimes I can't help but think ANet is satisfied with the lack of variety of activities in the world that are there on a day-to-day basis, and that worries me.
Different = good. Permanent = good. Same monotonous fighting for overfarmed, unwanted stuff = sleep-inducing.
Don't get me wrong. I like the idea of these special festival-type events. I just think that some of the ideas ANet comes up with for event activities could also be well-served if placed in the game permanently in some fashion or other as well. Something different, if available, would help break the monotony of WTS spam and farming the same explorable area 5x straight.
With all that said, I'm looking forward to this. I hope we'll be able to go for Dragon helmets again. I missed out last time.

Hehee... if you were here during the 2x faction points for Fort and such, that could've been similar to your Amber/Jade event you want. Anyways, I'm farming hardcore for money during the event that'll be coming up

I'm just hoping I can use up the 500+ jade wind orbs I've still got in storage from the last event. I just couldn't bring myself to throw them away.

How I dodge plz? <--- noob. "Woah...all my skillz R gone!?" "What is DragonBlast?" <--- noob...
Ahh...the good times had by all in the Dragon Arena. This little "highly addictive" game could have got me fired as much as I played it. Boss key FTW! I'm "very" /excited that this thing is back. Going for a new cons-win record. <--- n00b
You nay-sayers and complainers just need to giveitup plz. How about appreciating things a little more?
And props to Gaile for breaking her routine and making that comment! I personally like my cereal hard and crunchy. soggy corn flakes FTL!
How I dodge plz?

Anet nerfs, people complain
Anet does not give enough content, people complain
Anet does not give updates, people complain
Anet gives updates, people complain
Anet tries to make people happy, people complain
Anet brings back the festival games (which i enjoyed very much) because people wanted them back, people complain
Anet releases a new chapter and people are still complaining
Like any other game, producers can never please the crowd...
so people...
STOP F***CKING COMPLAINING. if you dont like it, dont play. How simple is that?

I'll agree that it will be a fun little event, for those that participate.
But again, factions only - as if that wasn't to be expected.
Wonder how many ppl have asked about events in prophecies over the last few months?
I won't point this out to guildies or friends who don't notice it on website - guild chat will be unbearable.
Fun for a lot to be sure, but not having stuff in prophecies has P'd off some I'm sure.
Anyway, for those who will participate have fun - as that is what it is for.
ign - Huntress Velasca - and a bunch more

Hi all, I agree that it was a fun event, and I like that it is for Factions only, but why are we having Dragon event games outside of the Dragon festival? What becomes of the actual Dragon festival after this event? I am all for a bit of fun, but why have the games outside of the festival? Should we have Wintersday games but not the festival in March?

The festival games at the dragon destival were just general games. They werent related to the actual event so theres no reason they cant be used for anything else. Its not like they were made in a dragon theme or anything. If they had a theme then they would remain for events that match that theme only, but those games didnt. Also, the main reason for them being added is lots of people want a way to get the lucky/unlucky titles again.

Always but I could never find a district were people were playing it in. Most of the districts were just people trying to be charmed.
So with that let's invade district and "Let's Get 'Em". Wrong event but oh well

I think this has more to do with draining gold from the economy before nightfall comes out. They already took greens out of the picture now on to the gold stocks >_>.

Like any casino or carnie game they can only take as much as your willing to give.
So here's a slogan that's used by Washington for the state Lotto "Be a smart player: know your limit."

Not at all. This coming weekend's event is not in any way related to Halloween. This is just a fun event, a little gift, something to enjoy before Nightfall comes.
